Ductwork/Elbowsv8 MDL

Elbowsv8 is an MDL application used to place 2D HVAC ductwork and all types of 2D Elbow Fittings.  All fittings are created on-the-fly by the application based on the size and parameters selected by the user prior to placement.  Optionally the fittings are created and placed as group cells and given a cell name and snappable origin point.   Ductwork runs are created as multilines based on the size and parameters selected by the user prior to placement.

This application provides a simple alternative to using cell libraries to store many variations of a single fitting type.

Options are controlled by the Tool Settings invoked with the user selects a Tool from the Ductwork/Fittings Toolbox.

All fittings can be placed by using any of 8 cardinal placements points (origin points), including all centerline and edge line locations.  Ductwork runs is can only be placed by centerline in this version.

Sweep angles of 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, and 90 degrees are available.  Start Angle is selected from the Elbows Tools Settings.

The Settings parameters are controlled by the user and saved to the "elbowsv8.rsc" resource file for recall next time the the application is invoked.   The user can set parameters for level, color, line weight for object lines, centerlines, and hidden lines, and flanges.  Also flange size, group cell, and breaklines controlled  by the settings dialogbox.

Additional fitting types are planned for future releases of this application.

Once the elbowsv8.ma file is copied to a directory defined by the Environment Variable MS_MDL, the application is executed by keying in MDL LOAD ELBOWSV8.
